It's been almost 3 years since I've first started drinking green smoothies…
It's a journey that I'll never regret and I'm glad to share this journey with you…
If you're looking for the original Nutribullet here's my review on it, but if you are thinking of the PRO 900 version, I'll recommend the Nutri Ninja instead.
But if you're looking for more information and the best deals for the Nutribullet RX, you're in the right place...
I understand most people's frustration about this product. If you're not yet ready to purchase the high-end blenders that costs $400+ (Vitamix and Blendtec blenders), you're probably considering the Nutribullet RX because it costs way less…
But you've probably heard of the “leaky gasket” issue which is what concerns a lot of people.
Fortunately, with a little bit of patience and reading the user manual, you'll find that the solution and prevention to this problem is by the “blade removal tool” which is included in your purchase (more on this issue below).
The Nutribullet brands have changed the way I consume more “green drinks”, particularly “green smoothies”.
I've been able to consume more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis because their equipments are very easy to use, clean and maintain.
That's why when they've released the Nutribullet RX version, I immediately went online to learn more about this new product.
I always double check the items that I've bought.
Here are the parts included:
*Depending on where you've purchased your Nutribullet RX, you'll find more cups or recipe books bundled with your purchase.
What makes the Nutribullet RX different from other Nutribullet models?
Let's start with the similarity. They can all create “smoothies”. Smoothie machines differ from Juicers because a “smoothie maker” or a blender, retains the fiber.
But that's where their similarities ends.
The most notable difference between the Nutribullet models is the POWER wattage. The original is 600 watts. The PRO version is 900 watts. The RX model is 1700 watts.
A more powerful, higher wattage model would create more “smoother” drinks. Because it's more powerful, it can “pulverize” more fruits and vegetables into finer drinks.
But the Nutribullet RX has a feature that sets it apart from the Nutribullet family.
It can create “hot soup” and uses a SMART technology function to create your drinks.
Yes, with the Nutribullet RX you can now start enjoying delicious and healthy “hot soups” as well as hands-free operation with the SMART technology.
Create delicious Souperblasts in about 7 minutes
When I first saw the Vitamix and Blendtec blenders, I was amazed at it's ability to create “hot soups” because of it's high-speed action.
But not all people would want to spend $400+ for a high-end blender like the Vitamix and Blendtec appliances.
That's why when the Nutribullet RX was released, I really got excited with it because you can now create delicious “hot soups” without spending hundreds of dollars on a high-end blender.
Making a Souperblast (that's how hot soups are called by Nutribullet) is quite easy.
Just twist the extractor blade onto the Souperblast pitcher (included in your purchase), add your ingredients to the pitcher (recipes are also included in your purchase).
And attached the vented, 2 pc lid cover for the Souperblast pitcher.
Plug the power base of the Nutribullet RX (pronged socket) and turn on the power button located at the left side of the power base.
The power button will turn “blue” indicating that the Nutribullet RX is powered on.
Place the Souperblast pitcher with the blade side down into the power base. This will activate the power base and the “G-button” will be lit Green indicating that it's ready to start.
Press the G-button for more that 2 seconds until it glows RED. When it glows RED, it will indicate that the “Souperblast” mode has begun.
This Souperblast mode will last for about 7 minutes. Be careful not to touch the powerbase and the pitcher because it can get very hot at about 70 degrees Celsius or about 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
Oh by the way, I forgot to mention that the SMART technology does allow you to create these Souperblasts and Nutriblasts hands-free. Which means, there's no more need to “hold” and “twist” the Nutribullet cups to use the appliance.
The SMART technology will automatically stop the cycle for you. For the Souperblast cycle, this will be about 7 minutes.
Making delicious Nutriblast RX's – hands-free!
With the old Nutribullet models, you'll have to hold these appliances when creating your green smoothies. But not anymore with the Nutribullet RX.
The SMART technology will automatically run and stop each cycle. For Nutriblasts, that cycle will last for about a minute, but for Souperblasts, that cycle is about 7 minutes as I've mentioned before.
How to clean this appliance?
Cleaning the Nutribullet RX is the same as any Nutribullet model. It's very easy to use, operate and clean which makes it my favorite kitchen appliance.
The most important thing here is to unplug the unit (power base) before cleaning it. For the Nutribullet cups and extractor blades, just wash it with dishwashing soap and water then let it air-dry.
The cups and lids are also dishwasher safe so you could try that as well. For the power base, don't submerge it on water (it contains electrical parts).
Just wipe the power base with a damp cloth and you'll be fine.
Why does my Nutribullet RX leak?
A lot of people are complaining that they are sometimes experiencing “leaks” when using their Nutribullet RX.
After researching about this topic and issue, I've found out that the MAIN and most probably cause is NOT using the “blade removal tool” included in the box.
The Blade Removal Tool is important in tightening and preventing leaks when using the extractor blade.
Apparently, if you just tighten the extractor blade by hand, you won't be sealing it properly and that's how the leaks start when you start using it.
Which is better? Nutri Ninja or the Nutribullet RX?
If you're looking for a blender that would compare with the Nutribullet RX, the closest blenders that would compare are the high-end blenders from Vitamix and Blendtec.
The Nutribullet RX can make hot soups because of it's high-speed feature. The Nutri Ninja machines can't.
While the Nutri Ninja PRO is a great appliance, it would only be comparable to the Nutribullet PRO 900.
Where can I find Nutriblast recipes?
When you buy the Nutribullet RX, it would include a 150-pages recipe book. It will contains tons of recipes that you could try when making your Nutriblasts.
If you're looking for other recipes that you could try, check these recipe books:
