If you're searching for an unbiased review of the Nutribullet RX machine, then you're in the right place…

There are hundreds of personal countertop blenders to choose from that can help you create nutritious drinks and healthy drinks. I know how it feels when you're trying to find the best blender for smoothies for your family…

My Nutribullet RX review

There's not a lot of unbiased feedback on what appliance or blender to buy. Most of the reviews available out there are those coming from the actual manufacturers and suppliers themselves, which is obviously biased towards their own products.

I bought my own Nutribullet machines and this has allowed me to test the product well, use it everyday to make healthy smoothies. I made this article based on what I've learned about it…

  • Powerful 1700 watts motor for smoother drinks
  • Smart app enabled with lots of recipes
  • Bluetooth ready so you can sync your drinks
  • Hands-free operation
  • You'll need a smartphone to take advantage of most of it's features

If you're not yet ready to purchase the high-end blenders that costs $400+ (like the Vitamix and Blendtec blenders – these are great for making the silkiest smoothies), you're probably considering the Nutribullet RX because it costs way less.

Creating batches of smoothies is a great way to supplement your body with the right nutrients. I have made personal smoothies since 2013 and have never looked back ever since.

But you've probably heard of the “leaky gasket” issue which is what concerns a lot of people especially if you'll be using it with hot liquid.

Fortunately, with a little bit of patience and reading the user manual, you'll find that the solution and prevention to this problem is by the “blade removal tool” which is included in your purchase.

  • 1700 watt motor. The short cup is 30 ounce and the pitcher is 1 liter
  • Hands-free SMART technology
  • Single servings and family-sized servings (Check out the cup size and oz container)
  • One of the best Bullet blenders – they've come a long way from the first Magic Bullet
  • Rack Dishwasher Safe for most of the cups (no electronic parts)

NutriBullet Rx N17-1001 Blender, Black

The Nutribullet brands have changed the way I consume more “green drinks”, particularly “green smoothies”.

I've been able to consume more fruits and vegetables on a daily basis because their equipments are very easy to use, clean and maintain.

That's why when they've released the Nutribullet RX blender version, I immediately went online to learn more about this new product.

I always double check the items that I've bought.

Let's start with the similarity. They can all create “smoothies”. Smoothie machines differ from Juicers because a “smoothie maker” or a blender, retains the fiber.

But that's where their similarities ends.

The most notable difference between the Nutribullet models is the POWER wattage. The original has 600-watt motor base. The PRO version is 900 watts. The Nutribullet RX has a Powerful 1700-watt motor.

Nutribullet RX's has a powerful motor and a stronger motor to blend even the toughest fruits and vegetables. It's still more powerful than the 1500-watt motor that Ninja blenders have.

Motor power and motor strength is critical in making smoother drinks. A more powerful, higher wattage model would create more “smoother” drinks. Because it has a strong motor, it can “pulverize” more fruits and vegetables into finer drinks.

But the Nutribullet Balance has a feature that sets it apart from the other models, (the Original, the Nutribullet 900 (aka as the 900-watt Nutribullet Pro). I'll compare the Nutribullet RX vs other Nutribullet models and brands in the future.

It can create “hot soup” and uses a SMART technology function to create your drinks.

Yes, with the Nutribullet RX (also known as the Nutribullet Balance and Nutribullet soup maker), you can now start enjoying delicious and healthy “hot soups” as well as hands-free operation with the SMART technology.

Create soups in about 7 minutes

NutriBullet Rx N17-1001 Blender, Black

When I first saw the Vitamix and Blendtec blenders, I was amazed at it's ability to create “hot soups” because of it's high-speed action.

But not all people would want to spend $400+ for a high-end blender like the Vitamix and Blendtec appliances. That's why when the Nutribullet RX was released, I really got excited with it because you can now create delicious “hot soups” without spending hundreds of dollars on a high-end blender.

Making a Souperblast (that's how hot soups are called by these guys) is quite easy.

Just twist the extractor blade onto the Souperblast pitcher (included in your purchase), add your ingredients to the pitcher (recipes are also included in your purchase).

Check out some of my favorite Nutribullet recipes for weight loss here.

And attached the vented, 2 pc lid cover for the Souperblast pitcher.

Plug the power base of the Nutribullet RX (pronged socket) and turn on the power button located at the left side of the power base.

The power button will turn “blue” indicating that the Nutribullet RX is powered on. Place the Souperblast pitcher with the blade side down into the power base. This will activate the power base and the “G-button” will be lit indicating that it's ready to start. Press the G-button for more that 2 seconds until it glows . When it glows RED, it will indicate that the “Souperblast” mode has begun.

This Souperblast mode will last for about 7 minutes. Be careful not to touch the powerbase and the pitcher because it can get very hot at about 70 degrees Celsius or about 150 degrees Fahrenheit.

Oh by the way, I forgot to mention that the SMART technology does allow you to create these Souperblasts and Nutriblasts hands-free. Which means, there's no more need to “hold” and “twist” the cups to use the appliance.

The SMART technology will automatically stop the cycle for you. For the Souperblast cycle, this will be about 7 minutes.

Making delicious drinks hands-freee

With the old models, you'll have to hold these appliances when creating your green smoothies. But not anymore with the Nutribullet RX.

The SMART technology will automatically run and stop each cycle completing frozen drinks into a silky smooth drink.

For Nutriblasts, that cycle will last for about a minute, but for Souperblasts (hot drinks), that cycle is about 7 minutes (known as the 7-minute cycle – there are many pre-programmed blend cycle available) as I've mentioned before.

Check out your smartphone app to browse the different blending cycles or heating cycle available.

After a little while with a new unit the plastic container starts to scratch from adding frozen berries and it just gets worse and worse. Why does this happen? Cheap Plasic? And they tell you to add frozen to the smoothie. I think it’s dangerous as chemicals leach into your drink.! Why don’t they make a glass option or a better plastic I bet millions have the same scratches and worries. I will try and post pictures. I guess you will not be able to see that you cannot see through the top half of the plastic, It’s really BAD!
