Let me share with you something really personal here…

Today, I’d like to share something personal…We all have a personal reason or motivation why we do something…
For me, it’s this… (continue reading below)
But first, I wanted to share a brief history on how I got into drinking “greens”
I learned about juicing and blending after watching this movie from Netflix… Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead
But I didn’t got into juicing back then.
It seemed like a great way to meet your daily needs for fruits and vegetables
but it was not ‘motivating’ enough for me.
So how did my ‘motivation’ changed?
By July 2013, I’ve encountered one of the lowest peaks in my life.
To sum it up, here’s how I felt:
- I lacked confidence in myself.
- I felt bad about myself.
- I had all these negative feelings surrounding me most of the time.
What I’ve noticed was that after I ate “fast foods” or “sweets”, I felt a surge of energy and my mood is uplifted for a few minutes (mostly
15-30 mins) but then afterwards I ‘crash’ (happy mood is gone and I feel weak, negative and depressed).
One day, me and my family went to the park and I can barely run after my son. I’m not even 35 years old…
That’s when I realized I had to do something… and then I remembered watching the movie about juicing.
I told myself, I will do this and do a detox for the next 7 days…
We already had a juicer so I just bought the Nutribullet for convenience and blending…
I then started a 7 day detox plan. This is simply a 7 day replacement of just drinking juice and smoothies in one week. I drank tons of water, and had green smoothies at least 3x a day.
I lost 10 lbs in 7 days and I can immediately feel the difference.
Because I’ve felt so good, I had more energy and I feel more confident, I’ve decided to change my lifestyle habits as well.
- I’m slowly transitioning to a “greener” diet (less meat and sweets).
- I’m exercising more and enjoying long walks in the park with my family.
- I’m drinking lots of water and have eliminated soda, artificial juice and sweet drinks.
- I’m praying and meditating more than ever.
And the results for me were astonishing:
- I slept better and snore less (based on my wife’s comment)
- I can now do longer runs than ever before
- I felt I have more energy, and more confident that I’ve ever been.
All I can say is that I would have never known the difference in my life if I hadn’t
been motivated to start changing my lifestyle and eating habits.

When I first started, the first battle that I faced was on my mind…
Can I do this?
What if… and a lot of doubts and questions about juicing.
These resources helped me understand more about health, diet and “how juicing” can help me get the life that I want…
