How to Store Your Juice & Smoothies

It's time for another juicing and smoothing tip.

Today's tip is all about storing your juice and smoothies so that it will remain fresh longer.

Whenever it's possible, don't store your drinks.

Drink them as soon as you make it.

It would taste better and there will be more nutrients in it.

If you're traveling, using a smaller juicer or blender like the Nutribullet maybe your best option.

No time to create your drinks in the morning?

If that’s the case then you can try these tips to help you store your juice and smoothie drinks a little bit longer.

*You have to understand that the longer you store your juice, their will be less nutrients and enzymes that you can utilize. So the best way is to always drink your juice or smoothie after you create it.

But if you really have no choice, here are some ways that will help you store your juice longer

1. Store them in tightly sealed, vacuum flasks.

Choose stainless steel flasks or glass flasks like the one that you can find here.

2. Fill your containers to the brim.

This will allow less air to circulate and oxidize your drinks.

3. Add a squeeze of lemon to your drinks

Lemon can help slow down oxidation which would spoil your drinks.

4. Store your juice or smoothie in the fridge.

In order to prolong your juice, you need to store it in the correct environment. It should be in a dark, and cool environment. This is the reason storing it in a stainless steel vacuum flasks is great idea.

5. If you're juicing, use a Masticating juicer instead of a centrifugal juicer

Masticating juicers allows less oxidation of your drinks because not a lot of air is introduced when creating your drinks. The Nutribullet machine is also a powerful machine that prevents oxidation.
